This sculptural diamond engagement ring in 18k white gold combines the traditional engagement ring form with a classical style. Its ornate front is mounted into a concave nesting for a princess cut white diamond.
This design is inspired by bismuth crystal formation, a phenomenon observed when the molten metal transforms back into its solid form. The construction of this CAVETTO ring is drawn directly from ancient entablatures, a distinctive feature of classical architecture.
Fabrication of this ring requires special preparation of the metal surface. To create a texture imitating ancient walls, gold is nearly molten down and filed flat. Each layer is individually formed before mounting.
This ring is made to order, some slight differences in gold texture may occur.
